Nazdar to Distribute Dubuit Optical Disk Inks and Varnishes
SHAWNEE, KS - Nazdar announces an agreement with Encres Dubuit that names
the company as Dubuit's exclusive distributor of OD Plus Optical Disk inks
and CD-R Pack DOC (Durable Overprint Coating) varnishes for the United States.
OD Plus is a very reactive, glossy line of UV inks and varnishes specifically
developed for printing CD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD, DVD+R, and DVD+RW products.
Nazdar will also distribute the OD Plus line and CD-R Pack varnishes in
Mexico and Canada on a non-exclusive basis.
The Dubuit OD Plus inks and CD-R Pack varnishes for recordable optical
disc media are part of Nazdar's OD System, which also includes pre-press
and on-press chemicals, mesh and emulsion, all specifically configured for
maximum, cost-effective performance in optical disk printing.
According to Nazdar President, Mike Fox, "Dubuit is known for its uncompromising
quality standards, and the company is extremely successful with its optical
disk products worldwide. Adding Dubuit inks to the Nazdar product line and
making them available through our SourceOne distribution network is a great
opportunity for both companies to provide the U.S. market with a proven,
top of the line option in UV optical disk inks."
Arnaud Maquinghen, Vice President of Sales ® Marketing for Encres Dubuit,
stated, "The Dubuit-Nazdar agreement represents an excellent combination
of companies that will truly benefit US screen printers. Nazdar's long history
and expertise in developing and marketing screen inks, their color-matching
capabilities, exceptional technical support, and their experience and knowledge
of the industry make them the ideal partner for us in the US market."
The OD Plus color range consists of 10 basic colors plus a mixing black
and a mixing white, an opaque black and an opaque white. The basic OD Plus
colors make it possible to create any of the colors in the Pantone®
Matching System™. Custom color matching is also available through Nazdar's
Shawnee, Kansas facility.
According to Dubuit, the CD-R Pack DOC contains 6 standard varnishes plus
a white and a matting agent that meet virtually all of the structure, shade
and color requirements of recordable optical disk manufacturers. The increased
vulnerability of recordable CDs means that consumer-recorded disks often
malfunction because of damage or dirt due to mishandling or excessive wear.
The CD-R Pack DOC varnishes, which are used by leading CD-R companies such
as Sony®, Imation®, and Verbatim®, constitute a hard scratch
and chemical resistant coating, providing an efficient protection of the
CD recordable media.
Dubuit's OD Plus line of inks and CD-R Pack varnishes are available in
gallon containers from Nazdar locations. Nazdar is the largest manufacturer
and distributor of screen printing inks, equipment, and supplies in North
America. For more information about the Dubuit OD Plus optical disk inks
