Nazdar Improves 1600 Series, Changes Name to POWERPrint™ to Highlight
Enhanced Performance, Durability, and Value
Nazdar announces that to highlight significant improvements and enhancements
to its economical 1600 Series of UV inks, it has changed the product line's
name to PowerPrint™. Formulated for high-quality printing on a wide
variety of POP substrates, coated papers, and cardstocks, POWERPrint UV
Inks feature enhanced blocking resistance, faster cure times, and improved
outdoor durability of up to two years.
According to Richard Bowles, Nazdar Vice President of Marketing, "When
we introduced 1600 Series late in 2002, we knew we had a great ink that
would be a cost-effective alternative for POP printers requiring one year
or less durability in the indoor and short-term outdoor retail display market.
And our customers loved it - especially the price. Since then, our R&D
team has worked hard to enhance the key performance characteristics of the
1600 Series and make it an even better value. We've been so successful in
improving the outdoor durability, the non-blocking performance and the cure
speed that it's really a different, significantly better product now. Which
is why we've changed the name to PowerPrint."
Formulated to meet the faster speeds of inline and cylinder 4-color process
UV screen printing systems, PowerPrint™ cures at lower levels of ultraviolet
energy, reducing costs and substrate heat exposure. PowerPrint inks produce
a tough finish that is flexible enough for die cutting and will resist blocking
in two-sided print applications on rigid styrene and vinyl plastics.
PowerPrint comes in a range of Nazdar colors that include: opaque Standard
Printing Line Colors, transparent Pantone Matching System® Base Colors,
and Standard / High Density Halftone Colors. All Standard / High Density
Halftone Colors come in MasterPrint™ LTR (Low Tack Rheology) chemistry to
achieve the fastest processing speeds for in-line and cylinder presses,
as well as, MasterPrint™ MTR (Medium Tack Rheology) chemistry to achieve
processing speeds for clam shell and flatbed presses. The 1600 Series Matte
Halftones feature improvements for flow on most press conditions at normal
processing speeds. For further information about new POWERPrint, or any
